ok, so it was sorta hokey.
Still neat.
Thing is, if some kind of mecha-tech had existed the US still would not have built one.
Just the weapons on the mech. Lots of them. (Like those missiles the US mech had, thos would be great if deployed on a twin mustang.)
U.S. had lots of cheap gear in WW2, plus a few good things.
We know where the spare money went.

Why were the mustangs trying to destroy the obviously well-built robot with machine guns? The pilots were very disposable. Oops, lost another one... let's try the same thing again. The concept is awesome though.
And why were the two bots rusted at the end? Did they just run out of batteries and the army just kinda left them there for 50 years?

I'm loving it.
The end is rahter anticlimactic though.
Also, the wing commander's rather terrible voice-acting made the character sound like a stereotypical b-movie tough guy.
I have to agree that the end was as confusing as it was awkward.

I may be mistaking but after the first strike, black smokes seems to be coming from the robot's right shoulder-areaWhy were the mustangs trying to destroy the obviously well-built robot with machine guns?

I think that might have been there before. It looked like it was coming out of its back as it was coming out of the water. I just thought it was exhaust from some robot engine. I could also be mistaken.ZoZo wrote:I'm loving it.
