I can't see the TES tradition in TES IV. All I can see is abusing of a franchise, mainstream developement, console design, a dumbed-down adventure with some adjustable stats, boredom, an insult of gamers with standard intelligence or above and the sucking end of the last old RPG franchise. The next-gen multi-platform mainstream-audience developement is one of the major reasons for the most disappointing evolution of TES.aries100 wrote: As for the Fallout canon, I sometimes think that it only exists in the head of (some of) the fans. As I recall, the TES series have a long standing tradition that spans more than 15 years now (if you take into account the development years before Arena was releasedthat is). And Bethesda have been constantly enlarging, writing the story, expanding and renewing the TES universe. (to the point where they even have historians working for them, sifting through their archives, finding the correct lore & background for their TES games).
If you think, that's a prototype for Fallout in any way, no one can help you.
