I don't listen to much jazz at all but for some reason I'm really into her stuff lately. And Ella Fitzerald bores me. Am I weird?

Not at all. Their styles are very, very different so there's no "if you like one you must like the other" rule. Ella is a lot flashier, more of a virtuoso.
