art OH SHIT I HEAR THE ICE CREAM TRUCK!!!!!111!1111oneone films
I'm currently watching "À bout de souffle", it's supposed to be a classic, but I don't see what's so good about it, a lot of lé swell guy d'utter it seems
Can someone explain it to me? Otherwise, feel free to post similar films, that are supposed to be milestones, but are more tiresome than anything

It's about fucking dead people. Basicly. Some real classic german gore in finest trash quality.

Plot is not important, you just watch this movie to see a chick fucking a corpse. Actually not the corpse, but a knife stabbed into it. She's fucking the handle of the knife. Oh... and gore. The whole movie is so fucking bad, it's classic. It's art. :the cloaka:

Great movie.
to me, koyaanisqatsi and baraka are the platonic ideal of artfag films. kind of insufferable to watch, but also having the best cinematography in the world.
suppose you're thinking about a plate of shrimp. suddenly somebody will say like 'plate' or 'shrimp' or 'plate of shrimp', out of the blue, no explanation.
Breathless is alright, but you kinda have to be familiar with the French New wave and what it was they were trying to accomplish to really appreciate it. Still, there are alot cooler Jean-Luc Godard films, Masculin Feminin and Alphaville for example. I suggest you check that shit out, Breathless still gives me issues when I try and watch it and I've studied the fucker in multiple classes. Meh.
my vocabulary skills is above you.

Have you seen Weekend? It sounds like a riot! I'm wondering if it is as good as it sounds.Aonaran wrote:Still, there are alot cooler Jean-Luc Godard films, Masculin Feminin and Alphaville for example.
I think I would have loved Stalker if I had seen it on a better quality television. It was kind of trippy seeing it on a really old TV though, the kind that has a completely worn-out CRT so that everything is weirdly faded. As it stands, Stalker was merely "pretty good"; I need to watch it again.
Haven't seen that or Tout Va Bien, they are next on the cue.TelemachusSneezed wrote:Have you seen Weekend? It sounds like a riot! I'm wondering if it is as good as it sounds.Aonaran wrote:Still, there are alot cooler Jean-Luc Godard films, Masculin Feminin and Alphaville for example.

Citizen Kane is one of thei truest films to what life really is.S4ur0n27 wrote:Citizen Kane is pretty artfaggy to me.
Life is cruel joke to the greatest sideshow jokester. When we all come to the great escape of death we will all dig up some randomn shit in our life that means nothing to anyone, but will mean everything to your own. In death we are strpped to our very naked selves. All the shame and humility we suffered in life comes into the fore front. I only hope I die alone were no one sees. What is great about Citizen Kane is it reminds, or points out, that there is not destination in life, but the path we take. LIfe is a beautiful flower that only you can smell, surely dont make it anymore then that.
On a happy end note, it take shit to grow a garden.... figure it out. And I leave you with a litte furry happness.
