Ill think it might not suck when we see guys in power armor, and combat armor THAT ACTUALY LOOKS LIKE THE SAME ITEMS FROM FALLOUTS VID SEQUENCES AND INVENTORY ITEMS!
But We'll be lucky for the predator armor from Craptics.
i actually made an attempt to find the source to the mp3 being streamed on the new fo3 splash page in the hopes of finding it and other stuff. but i gave up though when i decompiled the .swf file only to find all the sources in the code written by someone who randomly hit a bunch of keystrokes, here you figure it out :
onClipEvent (load)
{
function fluncawaew()
{
bqwuieyqa = new LoadVars();
skgdhfkjhga = new LoadVars();
bqwuieyqa.fhqwhgads = "aiuwdawiudha212311";
skgdhfkjhga.onLoad = function (success)
{
if (skgdhfkjhga.fhqwhgadss != "false")
{
dasjkdhawd(skgdhfkjhga.fhqwhgadss);
} // end if
};
bqwuieyqa.sendAndLoad("retrieve.php", skgdhfkjhga, "GET");
} // End of the function
function dasjkdhawd(jkdfhgnserys)
{
delvertaop = new Sound(this);
delvertaop.loadSound(jkdfhgnserys, true);
} // End of the function
function startSound()
{
stopSound();
delvertaop.start(0);
_parent.speaker_control.gotoAndPlay("speakeron");
} // End of the function
function stopSound()
{
delvertaop.stop();
_parent.speaker_control.gotoAndPlay("speakeroff");
} // End of the function
a;
b >= undefined > "c" || 0(false);
_parent.play_status = 1;
fluncawaew();
}

and yes, Mark Morgan makes better music than that shit on the splash page that tries to sound "epic"

When I loaded up the Desert track from Mark Morgan's Fallout 1 soundtrack the picture on the F3 site suddenly looked a lot better. It's that fucking Jeremy Soule (a plague upon his house!) behold a dragon good sir garbage that totally crushes the mood of the image.
God I hate that wanker and all the sonic filth he unleashes upon us. Only good he ever did was the Kuldahar theme from Icewind Dale, good for a fantasy game that is.

The concept art is good! The only reason the world depicted in it looks "dead" is because the picture is just so faded. And we can't tell much by the picture where FO3 will be located... it's one picture!
1/4 of the music is great, the other 3/4 gay. They need to work on more ambient music, rather than LOTR chamber-pop.

Wasteland pic is decent, but generic. Music is teh suck.
>But here's what I really like. The fact that they're still calling it Fallout 3. That, in my opinion, is a fucking good sign.
::mind boggles:: Care to explain how whoring out the good name of Fallout in pursuit of generic FPS 3D wastelandia is a good sign? I'd rather they just shot dogmeat rather than pimping him out in a pink tutu and calling it the new freshness.

"It can only be a good sign, steering them away from the Deus Ex: random subtitle to appeal to a new consolised audience direction and toward the Fallout 3: this is part of an established series and therefore we're trying to follow what went before goal."
Basically, it shows, if nothing else, that they're trying.

I've never had any doubts they'll abandon the "3" and make a generic Fallout game instead. Would you buy a license/franchise and not use it to the max? Especially when so many believe that Bethesda can make a worthy sequel, they are kinda obliged to call it Fallout 3.
Mr. Teatime wrote:The music starts off... well, it kind of fits the setting. It can work as long as the tone isn't that for the rest of the game (lets have some 40s/50s songs please!).
Man, I know I'll get flamed for this, but I really don't understand how someone who has little or no understanding of the retro futuristic, solemn, nostalgic theme that defined the original game and the travesty that is the orchestral vomit on the FO3 site could end up as a moderator on this board.
