Looks like <a href="http://www.vivendiuniversal.com/">Vivendi-Universal</a>, who is now the publisher for <A href="http://www.interplay.com/">Interplay</a> in several parts of the world, has recently had <a href="http://www.salon.com/tech/wire/2002/07/ ... tml">their CEO, Messier, resign</a> due to record low stock prices for the company and a staggering <b>multi-billion dollar</b> debt.<br><br>Also of note is <a href="http://www.msnbc.com/news/775184.asp?0bl=-0">this story</a> on <a href="http://msnbc.com">MSNBC</a> about <a href="http://www.vivendiuniversal.com/">Vivendi</a>'s stock dropping like a rock due to the debt issues:<br><br><blockquote>VIVENDI SHARES nose-dived as investors dumped the stock after the ratings agency downgraded the French media company’s long-term debt and said it was considering further downgrades, citing concerns over Vivendi’s ability to service its debt, its recent acquisitions and its failure to complete sales of certain assets.<br><br>Vivendi shares were temporarily suspended four times on the Paris bourse as the stock hit limit-down thresholds. Re: Vivendi in trouble too?
My guess would be still in the shitter. Their stock price was at $0.35 yesterday and rallied a whopping $0.01 by market close today.Saint_Proverbius wrote:So, the question is, if Vivendi folds, where does that leave Interplay?
Does anyone know exactly what the status is on IPLY's delisting from the NASDAQ?

Re: Vivendi in trouble too?
Yeah, I do. I think I posted news about it here on DAC's front page too. Interplay's gotten a stay of delisting until after IWD2 comes out. Which is kind of funny, since IWD2 keeps getting delayed now.OnTheBounce wrote:My guess would be still in the shitter. I want all games publishers to fail. They're doing it all wrong and deserve punishment.
