By analogy to the principle of Starcraft = Warhammer 40k = space Warhammer Fantasy, we have Protoss = Eldar = space Elves, so no worries on that count. There will be magic and elves.

Read up the news, it was a fuckup on Vivendi's side. Blizzard/vivendi denied that later on, saying that it was a mixup on the presentation team's side.
