Well if it's supposed to be like Fallout there shouldn't be, or have been, a nuclear winter, right?

Nope, then again I'm not sure how fast a nuclear winter would actually be achieved. It might be possible, but I've always thought fallout more as desolate desert, but of course I've also been thinking about winter enviroments...

Notice the architecture!

No decatent pillars, no decorative faces, or statues holding stuff on their backs!

Wrong. :nono:

Early 40s http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/USS_Essex_%28CV-9%29

50s http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/USS_Forrestal_%28CV-59%29

really really late 50s (basically almost 60s) http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/USS_Enterp ... 8CVN-65%29
The comparison isn't complete without the late 60's USS Enterprise.

I'm still put off by the music. Some fucking bombastic baldursgatesque. And the other Polish news poster wrote a news item saying that it's 'cool moody ambient' (approximate translation)
Not to mention he wrote that 'we can rest assured that the game will feature mature content' and 'it fills with optimism that they have L. Neeson'.
When Fo3 gets more advertising we can get back some readership at dac.pl and I don't want some silly cunts to read stuff like this (esp. 'resting assured' derived from bethesda's empty PR talk). This is DAC for fuck's sake.

New art + pompous music = great FPS location :giggle:

Oh Vasikka, I like it when you're in this kinda mood :chuckel:

The music is so road warrior, why do you guys have such a problem with it?

From a post-apoc view it's pretty cool art, but it's way too modern looking and doesn't seem like Fallout at all. But between the art they're throwing up and that turgid music, what does?

Because Fallout is not Road Warrior. Fallout music is ambient and 1940's. It is not "suspenseful and thrilling Hollywood action movie." How can you not understand this?

Have you played Fallout? The leather armor with the cutoff sleeve is definitely 40's. So is the football-pad style for the metal armor. :salute: Cleverly put sir.

I've uploaded the picture to the gallery, but the damn WYSIWYG editor still won't load and I'm too lazy to insert it manually into the newspost right now.

Mirror, Mirror ...

Quick look at history of CVA-34, the Big O.

Why does the Image fail here and NMA for Firefox after 20 or so minutes?

This jpg of the decommisioned Oriskany is very likely the image that was ripped for Bethesda's eye candy.
