I liked it, although the best character in the movie was killed...and not by zombie's either.
I don't like how the father kept showing up everywhere. That was pretty stupid. But the helicopter kills were pretty intense.
Overall, I liked it.

Farfetched in the incredible amount of coincidences and lapses of common sense. That Horror movie stupidity pisses me off to the bone.

So it's basically Fallout3?King of Creation wrote:I don't like how the father kept showing up everywhere. That was pretty stupid.
Is that your same review for Fallout3?Overall, I liked it.

There was some pretty stupid shit, like the Apache vs. the Minivan, but I think that along with the shite ending were tacked on or insisted upon by the studio. Overall it was well directed, even if there were some flaws. Also the whole fucking Iraq allegory was pretty fucking ballsy. Good shit, good shit. I recommend.King of Creation wrote:I liked it, although the best character in the movie was killed...and not by zombie's either.

a better post-apocalyptic-ish movie to see is the russian movie NAILS... although it was made on a budget of probably less than $1,000 USD it was a lot more entertaining than 28 weeks later. and cost $3.50 to rent. i was supposed to return it on friday tho

Saw it late last night and loved it. Reminded me of stuff like Half Life and the Zombie Survival Guide/World War Z. The snipers opening fire on "all moving targets," the fire bombing, and the whole way they made it like a side story to the original and really felt like the same place but on a greater scale was all awesome. One death scene early on is seriously fucked up. I mean people in the theater around me were getting sick. The ending is a bit of a downer, but also pretty cool if you tend to side with the bad guys.
The next movie, titled "28 Months Later" will deal with all of Europe becoming infected. That's when the nukes happen. Quote me later.

Now that would be one hell of a movie. On a sidenote, I saw the trailer for a new Resident Evil movie when I saw 28 weeks later and is it just me or do the Resident Evil movies suck gigantic nuts? Also why in god's name are they making another one that is nothing like the game?Mad Max RW wrote: The next movie, titled "28 Months Later" will deal with all of Europe becoming infected. Killzig, you had a good review of Land of the Dead, where are you on 28 Weeks Later?
Also, Max take note:

In March 2007, plans were announced by Danny Boyle to create a "third chapter", which has been given the title 28 Months Later.[13]
Also as a promotional gig:
On Friday 13 April 2007, 28 days before the release of the film in UK cinemas, a huge biohazard warning sign was projected against the White Cliffs of Dover.[6] The sign contained the international biological hazard symbol, as well as stating that Britain was "contaminated, keep out!"
Sounds pretty kawaii lazer partikule ffx ^_^
