I used a program called Avi2DVD which was free but it didn't work out so well. When I played it on my DVD player there it would play okay then freeze and make a horrible screeching sound. Also the way you encode/decode it can make the picture look like shit. Pretty much any face movement in the picture created pixelated stuff.
Make sure to get the best one you can like one of the Nero or Alcholo 120 sets, which probably work pretty well.
ConvertXtoDVD is free (I think), faster than Nero, and let's you put more data on with better quality. Plus it does subtitles (Nero doesn't). Nero can be real buggy, and gives me shit framerates when I put more than 2 hours on a disc.
