The Vault: server move
[ Community -> Update ]
Just FYI, you probably know The Vault is experiencing technical difficulties. This is because the load on the servers is pretty heavy and the providers're sending angry emails. We're searching for alternate servers right now.

Fellas,
I know you had a lead on some shared hosting offered by Hawk-Eye, but in case that doesn't work out, I ran across this fucker (also French):
http://www.web1.fr/index_us_US.php
Those are some nice prices for virtual dedicated servers. I don't know if this kind of CPU/RAM availability would suffice for The Vault (for the cheapest plan, at least), but it's a nice dedicated virtual server meaning nobody's going to kick you off, it'll just run slow if the server is overloaded. The nice thing about a virtual server is that we can tweak the settings to improve performance (MySQL connection settings, set up LiteHTTPD instead of Apache, that kind of stuff).
If you do decide to go with this and need some help setting it up, I have some experience setting up web hosting on Debian; I did it at my old job, and I promise I won't give Nico the root password this time.
