Here it is folks. We've been waiting for almost three years to see what Bethesda has to offer.

Link: Fallout 3 Teaser Trailer

Pete Hines has graciously confirmed to DAC that the recording of Ron Perlman in the Fallout 3 Teaser Trailer is, in fact, brand new. He recorded it specifically for Bethesda.

Here's what Pete Hines had to say about the trailer over at Voodoo Extreme:

1) Yes, that's in-engine (in-engine means it's done with game assets in
our rendering engine, but isn't done real-time. If it was done in
real-time, that'd be gameplay footage. This isn't something, for
example, that was sent to some house [e.g. Blue Studios] so they could
build assets and render it out, and create something for us to release
[e.g. Dawn of War 40K intro cinematic]).
2) Yes, that's The Ink Spots singing "I Don't Want to Set the World On Fire"
3) Yes, that's Ron Perlman [voiceover man extraordinaire of Fallout 1 and 2].

In addition, the end of the trailer confirms an official release date of Fall 2008. You can see it there.
Its fallouty and all. But 39 days for this tiny trailer was not worth wating. And the actuall game is not out before fall 2008. Great.

They got some of the superficial aspects right, whether they get the underlying priciples right or just make a castrated imitation remains to be seen.Mr. Teatime wrote:It's got an Ink Spots theme song.
Ron Perlman is IN.
No gameplay footage, but it's all rendered with the gameplay engine.

surprisingly, it could easily have been switched with the opening movie for fallout 1, they must have used that as a base, and theyve actually done a very good job. to be quite honest im not really concerned about anything in the video, it was well done and i think it fit the setting pretty darn great. even the music that came in after the ink spots (who are a wonderful choice) doesnt feel too epic, since its not a rousing battle number, but a number reminiscent of that played after you blow up the enclave at the end of fallout 2. just some orchestral hints.
ill agree with teatime though, i hope it doesnt turn into every man and his dog running around with a suit of power armor

Power armor at the end looks pretty good. ANybody know what gun that guy was packing? It looks pretty good. It doesn't show much but what it does show looks pretty nice. Pleasant amount of destruction. I really don't think its gonna be TB. I'll eat my vegetables if it is.
I'll admit I got the chills when it started playing.. and when Ron started talking, Wooh boy!
