Ok so now I'm hearing that APs regenerate in VATS mode too, so it is more like an in-game explaination for a gameplay mechanic (ie turn based). I don't know though, we'll have to wait a bit. I admit that I was feeling pretty pessemistic about it at first but now I'm thinking it will be a good game. I think bethesda have learned from their mistakes. They even learned from Horse Armour, the other DLCs after that were much better and more value for money. I have some vague memory of them saying they wanted to make stuff like horse armour free, but the suits wouldn't let them or something. Or that may have been another game. But they did release morrowind expansions for free.

I think it's more like turn based or something. But hey what do I know I'm actually looking forward to a game.

Well everything sounds ok. Ok, the VATS sound a bit odd, and perhaps sucky, but only if they use the old systems (aka, kotor). It's hard to say what it is from this little piece of info. They could be working on some new thing, or not. Still it doesn't sound alltogether bad, but...well that remains to be seen.

Other than that I liked the ideas or infos. I hope radiation comes back in a badass way. If there has been a nukefest then you won't be fucking walking in speedos and drinking rainwater. That shit is lethal.

Born in the vault...ok, but my pa doesn't sound like Liam!

If this info is "solidish"... i'm good. As long as the vats has something unseen and better.

Ps. I do hope they learn the human face creation, no more clonies!

So basically VATS is ATB with a spin. When you run out of AP you just go FPS and full auto your magazine to empty until your AP replenish?
off topic? OMG YOU'VE BEEN CENSORED... yet you're still posting. MYSTARY!!!!

Huh? The party members in Fallout 1/2 was one of the weakest features. They were little more than pack mules that shot you in the back. Few of them effected any part of the story.

It sounds so goofed, that I think we are understanding it wrong.

If it would be thought in a smart way, i'd probably consider the "AP charge" more like a reaction time AP. Perhaps a possible sidestep or a really fast shot into the general direction.

For example: 1 turn is 12 AP TB + 2 Reaction AP's in RT (on the enemy turn)

Yeah, in terms of interaction with party members, Fallout games went nowhere near Baldur's Gate, let alone Planescape: Torment (although I'm not saying it's necessarily a bad thing).

Well, Definite ending to the game, but there are 9 - 12 possible endings. sounds pretty good. But the combat system sounds pretty terrible alright. And 14 skills means somebody got it in the bum.

It`s probably like Max Payne from firstperson, you shoot all the stuff down and then you kind of press the magic wonder key to make the realtime slow or stop and then you choose your aim or leg/head/arm parts whatever and when you click on the head and you get a good shot, then you see a bloody gore animation in slowmotion. The TB-Points are probably the time, how long you can stay in this mode or how much moves you can make lulz D; Now if that isn`t awesome.

:waiting for fucking scan:

I wonder if they mean the multiple endings like FO 1/2 had for each town/ville.

Probably that just because I've taken drugs, but as I read your post, I had weird visions and they kinda scared me. The spirits are talking. Meditate I must.

[quote="Mr. Teatime"]what we essentially get is turn based (not hybrid) and then we get kind of a limited real time whilst you wait for enemies to use their precision shots. Then once your points are charged back up, you go back into turnbased to do special shots or whatever. So it just keeps you doing something whilst enemies take their turns.

In that case, it's essentially turn based with a minigame to play whilst you wait for the others to take their turn. In which case, it's a fucking turn based combat system with more stuff to do in the middle. Which, well, almost sounds like an improvement on FO1 and 2.

[quote]

actually this sounds interesting.. i hadnt though of it like that...

Or perhaps its the way GI are trying to explain it to ppl who havnt played tb games??

So who else is concerned about the fact that computer games are there to forget that one has parents, and not to actually HAVE parents in a computer game?

I think the real point that we are missing is that you can watch Dogmeat 2.0 bite a prone man in the groin till he dies in glorious 3D with slow-mo crotch chunks flying through the air.

The view point?... This is one of my main concerns...

What does everyone think it is (as described)... they mention fp and over the shoulder views...
We know what fp is.. but 'over the shoulder'?.. is this GI's way of describing an 'iso style' view pont perhaps? ( i hope so!)
