Damn - im really dissapointed now, i was hoping they would keep in a choice of RT or TB... fuck!
Can some one explain to me - the view in Resident evil 4... is it iso-style? It says in the article that the player can choose to play in FP or 3rd person resident evil style?
Oh and the nuclear launcher... can anyone say "starship troopers" ? lol

Well I read the article and I must say I'm rather impressed. It's another matter how much is bullshit, but if it walks like this. Not bad.
What comes from the combat system, well in my ears it sounds like it could work quite well, if it's implented in a good way. It's a completely another matter if they manage to do that... Ok on paper, in reality...I fear it. Just don't fuck this one up!
Nuclear catapult...wtf! Ok, weapons are retarded. RETARDED!
I do agree that the mutants look too much like something from the pits of Lord of the Rings, but at least they aren't furry.
I also like the idea, that you can't get 100% HP's with stimpacks etc. Those are injections, not bandages + injections. As for water healing you...err...i'd live better with water keeping your strenght up, not your health. Oh wel..

The beginning sounds very innovative, something which Peter Molyneux wouldn`t ever be able to develop or even to think of it, he should do the "dog-part" of Fallout 3, but it`d be probably executed bad. I like the PiP-Boy 3000 and stuff like no levelscaling etc. Typical Xbox360 RPG, it reminds me on Gears of War somehow. The Fatman indicates design choices, which where made extra for "next-gen" kids.
Stop reading here. You suck.

pipboy looks cool. 'nearly' impossible to unlock all achievements?
nuclear catapult is LOL.
Choice and consequence and moral grey areas sounds good. The combat sounds unclear, i'l have to see how it plays out. It's either turn based with a minigame thrown in(real time), or real time with a minigame thrown in (VATS)
Being locked into a 19 yr old kid looking for his father is a bit worrying as well. Let me change my age, at least, and hopefully dialogue will allow me to actually roleplay that, no, I don't give a shit about my father.
But - that mutant - that vault dweller - uh, where's the 50s in that? the 50s thing isn't something only used for concept art
That's my biggest concern. The 50s - the bright colours of Fallout in a grizzly world - is gone. And after all that talk of Fallout's soul...

I'm wondering how long before Bethsoft try to send their lawyers after NMA for the scans they're so nazi about.
Part of me is interested in how they'll manage the quests and the world (seeming it's set 40 years after the end of start of Fallout 2, some 80-odd post Fo:T). Yes, we all know that tactics raped canon, I won't be surprised if they use it is their major draw point for backstory though.
But the combat system sounds horrible. Utterly utterly horrible. The super mutants remind me of the Juggernaut.

I wouldn't say Beth sends the lawyers, it's GI that would do that, after Beth comes knocking on their door
This is how this shit should work. They should learn about now that if we are kept out from the loop we will get the info...one way or another, and we won't just wait for it.
I just hope that there won't be too many heads for this.

I saw Gears of War in 1080i today and it was gorgeous.
That aside this is STALKER in First Person Real Time With Pause (FPRTWP?). Seriously. Congrats at making a shitty game, Bethesda. Great job. I don't need to fucking play it to know it sucks.

There was something good, bad and ugly about the article. What I'm really worried about is that you'll be thrown into this huge, constant AI battle with mutants and BoS troopers going down, a bit like in Stalker. Amidst the fighting and questing, you'll grab a bottle of Rot gut in the nearest bar where you'll talk to other badass dudes and sell your phat lewt. At least that's the impression I got from reading the article. No no no. I thought we were through with that after FOBOS.
The focus should be on people. People who try to survive and get on with their lives not having to worry about super mutants and knights in shiny metal armor. There's a place for them as well, hidden deep in late game locations and not as something you'll encounter when going to the shitter.
