Afterfall now in English and concept art!
[ Game -> Update ] - More info on Game: Aftefall

The post apocalyptic game Afterfall has returned after a "prolonged absence," and is now in English! Here's their update:

Intoxicate Interactive team comes back with all kinds of positive
information! In the last few months, Afterfall encountered an avalanche
of
unbelievable surprises, starting from new development possiblities, up
to one of our core team member’s personal success. Let’s take a closer
look at all the details…

Firstly,
we’d like to inform you that Intoxicate Interactive started to
collaborate with Creative Labs. Gentlemen from Creative, upon seeing
our potential, have decided to start a co-marketing alliance with us,
as
well as provide us with access to their equipment, and offer technical
support for our musicians. Such an offer could not go unreplied – and
that with glee.

Also,
in the last few months we were contacted by two companies interested in
helping us with our search of a potential publisher. Both of them are
currently waiting for finished design docs and a working tech-demo,
which will allow us to start negotiating with the aforementioned
companies. In connection with that, our fans should expect major news
and updates earlier than the end of summer. Intoxicate Interactive
concentrates fully on making sure that everything is perfect and get on
with the negotiations as soon as possible.

The long awaited, updated FAQ, which is a summary of “Intoxicate Interactive responds to questions about Afterfall”, is available here . We’re terribly sorry for the delay, caused mainly by a temporary human resources crisis in our PR team. Have a pleasant read.

We
are also very happy to inform you, that a member of the Intoxicate
Interactive team – Marcin “Kwazi” PrzybyBowicz aka Kwazi – was awarded
by the Polish television TVP2 for
participation in their competition called “Dolina Kreatywna” (“Creative
Valley”). Among the works that helped him reach the finals, were the
ones he created for Afterfall. Quoting the “Dolina Kreatywna” website:
“We are especially interested in people who didn’t exist in media
before, who don’t have a chance to stand out of their environment and
are in need of help in developing their interests and realisation of
their ideas”. Marcin, we’re proud of you – congratulations!

Marcin
is not the only member of our team that was recognized lately – a few
of our teammates were forced to leave us because they were headhunted
by several acclaimed companies, which offered them interesting
positions in their projects. We understand their choices, as everybody
needs to earn a living. Fans should not be worried about the future of
Afterfall. We are able to continue our work until we get external
funding – most of the people who left for paid assignments declared
that when that happens, they’ll come back to Afterfall.

Finally, we would like to give you several unpublished tracks: Vinyl songThe days that followed by Kwazi; and Fail by Gyfu. This game looks really great --- and with a definite political take on it, too. If you read bout the game on the web-site you will understand why I say this

Bwahhaahahaha. Gasmask fetishism at its best. Kinda cool.VasikkA wrote:It looks like the people in the images like to wear gasmasks for fun. Like some sort of sexual game. Nothing wrong with that, though.
Nice art. Better than FO3's
P.S. What's that thing down the bottom right corner? A gigantic brain?

both storywise and screenshot wise.
And I'm not sorry for Afterfall, but for that other game...
--- it wasn't duke nukem forever I was talking about. It was a certain other game currently being made by a certain game company in Maryland... - cough - the game company starts with a B.... cough -
I haven't played the first Duke Nukem so I don't know what the gameplay is like, but I think I have it somewhere, though...
I do mean that Afterall seems & looks to be great game, especially since it apparently add a critique of civilisation's greeds and such to the gameplay.
Thus it is a very political game. Me like
