Fargo Confirms It!
[ Game -> Update ] - More info on Person: Brian Fargo | More info on Game: Wasteland 2

A few days ago, we reported that Brian Fargo might, in fact, be working on a successor to Wasteland. The boards were abuzz with speculation and hope. Well, we got word from the man himself. Brian Fargo, the founder of Interplay and the producer of the original Wasteland, told DAC the following:

I am indeed looking into bringing back the game that spawned the Fallout series. Stay tuned....

Stay tuned we will.

I hope Wasteland does come out, and beats that other game.
It would be so funny!

Yay! Will Fargo be our savior in these times of darkness? Too soon to know, but this is good news regardless.
Besides, somehow it feels like Brian Fargo has a bit more merit to his name than Todd... and the fact that Brian chose to contact DAC personally says something about what old Fallout fans mean to him, in my opinion.
Beth's Fallout will be shit, this is more or less confirmed, and there does not seem to be much we, the fans, could do about it as Beth could not care less what we have to say on the matter. So why not focus on something else?Fozzie wrote:This is hilarious. Everybody is up in arms about how Bethesda is ruining the Fallout IP but everybody is super excited about Brian Fargo making a new Wasteland. Do you people not remember what he did to A Bard's Tale a few years back? Talk about ruining a classic franchise...

As I've said earlier I know Fallout 3 won't be anything like the previous ones, but it might be a decent game. Time will tell, but one thing is sure. Bethesda is from hell. I don't like em, I don't like how they handle things and I don't like the way they do things.
As for fargo I've always liked him and the way he does his thing. The news about a sequel to wasteland is superb, and him doing is also. I hope this would be a new era for the community as a sort of "working enviroment" for the devs and fans. I hope we're in the loop. Both info like and dev like. By gamers for gamers. Perhaps it's time to bring back the good old times for fans and devs.
