Big Molyneux promises of a huge open adventuring world, actual delivery: A tiny, linear dungeon crawl full of basic third person combat against pretty monsters with a variety of spells and a character who becomes thinner/fatter/older/more muscular depending upon which skills you level.

A pretty and simplistic gimmick. Boring as hell in the long run, but also so small you can finish it in a few hours.

I heard its supposed to be decent if you haven't read any of the previews for it and kind of just grab it off a shelve ( or in susans case torrent) and play it.

That big mouth actually APOLOGIZED on the Fable board for being so full of shit. I don't hate the guy despite him being British and have an amazing knack for letting people down.

And Spore was supposed to come out no later than 2007. Did anybody else see him a couple months back on the Colbert Report? With already outdated graphics in 2008/2009 the game will no longer be relevant. EA is likely trying to force him into dumbing down or kill the game outright much like the Sims before its eventual release.

It seems everytime there's something somebody likes, you're there to kick them in the face for having an opinion.

As for me, I'm not overly dissapointed, Spore seemed like a neverending game that would:

A. Get really boring, *really* fast
B. Not be all that fun to start with.
