Just watched it. It was a bit confusing and made no sense, but it looked good.

swell guy is frozen and they're looking, like all men, for a box to do something evil or so. They eventually figure out that the box is under the Hoover dam, so they go there, and the Decepticons attack, so they decide to hide the box in the city, because fights don't look cool in deserts. Somehow swell guy unfreezes and pwns some swell guy.
They're in the city, and all the transformer swell guy fight, and the swell guy-bot dies and Prime is so about to sacrifice himself, but then Sam kinda accidently pwns swell guy.
Instead of melting the destroyed robots down, they ditch them in the ocean, coz that's such a good idea, hiding deactivated evil robots in the ocean, because that will make sure, that they never come back, lol.
The surving transformers stayed on earth, coz they can push around everyone easily and ban them from their server.
The whole movie seemed like a car/US military commercial.

I just came back from an advanced screening of it. It was absolutely spectacular. It was hilarious as well. It's one of those movies that doesn't try to be anything other than action, kickassness, and funny one liners. One of the best scenes in the movie has to be when the Autobots are hiding out in Sam's backyard, trying to keep hidden from his parents. Optimus Prime destroys some lawn fountain thing "Whoops..my bad." Also, Shia Lebouf or whatever his name is wasn't half bad.

That's kinda weird, especially because I live in Australia, what means that stuff usually comes out a bit later than everywhere else, because of the, let's call it 'remote' location of the continent.
So, long story short, I wouldn't have a clue, why it was released earlier here.

I kinda always avoided the DoA movie. I just know the slut that played Joy in 'My Name Is Earl' had a role in that movie, but that's about it.

Saw it last night, was alot better then I expected it to be, and seemed to be what it set out to be. Just a movie to watch where shit blows up and stuff.

I walked out first, coz I was sitting at the back, kinda pretty close to the door, and all the nerds waited till the credits end, just to figure out that there was no bonus material after the credits.

"How can he know that there was no bonus material at the end?" you're asking yourself now.

IMDB is the answer.
