People fucking clapped as soon as the credits rolled. I can't stand clapping in movies, who the fuck is going to care? Is the guy in the projection room taking a bow and thinking he did a pretty awesome job setting this one up? Stupid wankers.

I've seen two movies this year that have made people clap, this and ghost rider. Really. How fucking retarded do people have to be.

More importantly, who the fuck clapped for Ghost Rider? Those folks need to be taken out back and shot.

Hmm, I can only really think of clapping going on for like 300 and Matrix...ugh the second one.....revolutions? Revelations? Really big piece of shit? The one everyone stopped and said "Wait, this shit isn't that great after all."

I fucking hate that. I expect to land alive, so why should I fucking pretend that it's something special when some middle-aged alcoholic lands a plane without killing 200 people?

If it's a really good movie I dont mind clapping, just showing god that it was a really good movie. I think people tend to clean up more after themselves when they clap after a movie. I remember clapping after braveheart with tears in my eyes cause it was so good and my dad insisted my family clean up after themselves.

Most movies don't deserve claps these days.

Just got back from Transformers and enjoyed it. I'm glad it didn't take itself too seriously. The transformers were cooler than I thought they would be. I definetly recommend it. It was a bit corny though, actually extremely corny.

thats patriotic. beheading as family tradition. transformers. why oh why wasn't there any mechanical rape scenes. like the evil police car with "to punish and enslave" sticker. it should had massive pulsating monster robococks that whould had gotten some ooohs and aaahhhs from the "victim". along with the punchline. "the human females are all whores and they are all asking for it".

Okay, I just saw it and it was pretty cheesey but had some decent action type secnes and stuff. The only problem is that there are all these robots who you barely know anything about just fighting each other and it was hard to tell which ones were the good or bad guys.

Also how the fuck do those big ass machines transform into things so small, its bullshit.

It's cause of the All Spark or some shit. I mean, clearly they've got some density star trek situation which allows them to appear to be small but be really large in actuality. Get with the program.

Of course, it is going to be like a long car commercial when the transformers are mostly cars.
And I know that it probably also was (and is) a commercial for the US military, as the US military do have a film or movie office that deals in the many ways of how to make the US Military look good in the movies, tv-series, or tv-films.

I know this because I watched a french (or english??) documentary on this on NRK1 (Norway's Television Channel 1). It is sort of interesting that Norway (and partly Sweden, too) seem to the only
countries in Europe which have enough guts to send tv-programs that critizise the US or asks question whether or not it is ethichal for the US military to do what it does in terms of meddling with movies and such things.

One of the examples given were Pearl Harbour which, to me, was a horrible movie, but to the US military probably was very good commercial, as they had been involved in the making of it. The program showed other films and movies etc. in which the militáry had some sort of (final) say in making the movie, film etc. And they were all the more boring for it...

I take it you never saw the original cartoon which took the miniaturization thing to a whole new level.

I just saw it. Generally lousy, though it did have some good military scenes. The worst part was that Bay turned the whole thing into a fucking teen and funny robots comedy. I mean he had them making piss, fart and masturbation jokes and tip-toeing through rose gardens like some Seinfeld episode. Bloody awful. Incoherent editing, zero characterization except for 3 of the robots, and you could drive Optimus Prime through the loopholes. Also, don't watch this movie if you're in the IT industry; it'll make your head explode. The transformers looked so similar in the action scenes you couldn't tell what was happening to whom. I'll take G1 transformers over this any day.

What if the Transformers had been completely reimagined as an alien "race" of adaptive robots with advanced camoflauge and limited polymorphic capabilities?

They could have ideological disputes- the Decepticons could be Crowleyesque Objectivists, and the Autobots could be One-Worlder Socialists.

Or the alien robot equivalents.

No kid-jokes.

No corniness.

A dark, scary-ass, sort of arty film.

Damn that would have been good.

I've never had anyone clap in a film I've been to, except for 300, when the traitor-guy got stabbed. One man even went so far as to scream an exclamatory phrase. Yelling in a theatre just takes it too far, in my book.
