Zombies and guns.

Post by PsychoSniper5 »

You can pick a SINGLE weapon to use in the event of a zombie invasion.

Ammo is plenteful for it.

What gun, and why ?

------------------------

FN-P90

large magazine capacity (less time at risk due to reloading) as well as capable of splattering a brainpan, and then some.

It can be agreed that a powerful round is not necessary, since a headshot is required, and even a .22 will ruin your brain.

I'd take an Israeli Galil in 5.45x39 (lighter than 7.62x39) and I can get a 75 rd. drum for it. Plus, it's guaranteed not to jam or break on me, and it's good to 300 yards with good sights/scope.

Psychosniper, why all the interest in anti-zombie tactics? You know something we don't?

Anyway, I would use a shotgun. Preferably automatic because I can't aim for shit so the spread would be helpful. If I could mount it on a vehicle, I would want a .50 caliber machine gun.

I would't feel comfortable with something that couldn't kill a zombie when it's more than 50 yards away.

Are they running or walking type zombies? I assume the walking variety. If you are talking about the original Night of the living dead zombies then just give me a samurai sword. If new Dawn of The Dead zombies then... definitely a shotgun. With some practice I would prefer a pistol of some sort but the only way to kill them would be a headshot and I don't think a pistol or rifle would be ideal for close-quarters zombie fighting and the only way for a zombie to get you would be to walk/run right up to you.

A shotgun blast to the face would easily eliminate them without worrying about whether you just grazed the head or brain. If the shotgun is automatic you have maybe eight rounds which, considering errors in aiming, would kill five or six zombies before you need to reload. i really just got carried away.

Desert Eagles are fagging retarded.

Personally I'd go with my Sig P-229R since it is reliable as fuck and easy to take down and clean as well as my Mossberg 590A1 for obvious reasons. As far as a long range weapon is concerned I really have no idea, maybe my DSA FAL?

The classic, not the new crappy remake zombies.

For those wanting something overly flashy, youre fucked, casue even a ma deuce wont do that much.

Just create upper torsos crawling after you. And anklebiters are in some ways MORE dangerous, cause you wont always see them til too late.

Dogmeatlives....... no comment, but I also love the genre. Your prefence for a shotgun cause you cant shoot worth shit makes sense for you Id admit.

Fallout Ranger..... exellent point, the jews make great weapons, tho Id still prefer a P90, simply due to the compact layout (and I knew a few peopel that've used em before, relable and easy to control Ive been told, which means senseble choice, especily if youre forced to spray on automatic.)

Tactics wise, Id run like a scared bitch (who wouldnt) until I found a good place to fortify.

Id prolly keep the P90 on auto, but you can shoot single rounds on auto if you only partily pull down the trigger, it'd give me freat flexibility, I can take headshots as needed, or spray a quick burst if it gets too close.

That said, if I was able to get a tommy gun with a 100round drum, Id go with that as well, heavier, less easy to control in auto, but more ammo AND just as effecteve (that said, a P90 has more range)

guns? are you all high? i take the plentiful ammo
thing and turn it into plentiful fuel.. just gimme a larger model tracked bobcat with forklift forks.

all id have to do is spin until there all dead!
and i can run them over and id have a cage plus
bullet proof lexan to protect me, AND a good cold a/c and a radio.. listen to jams while zombie squishing.

and id be able to carry plenty of guns to, and ammo, and food and watter.

Damn! tommy gun was already said....

Maybe an MP5/10 with a c-mag, or a scoped .22 with extended mag...higher ground wouldn't be terribly difficult to attain.

Ah yeah, then you have flaming zombies attacking you.

Remember, theyre not human anymore, they dont react to pain.

Theyd just keep coming until incenerated, and if you get cornerd, youre traped in a ring of fire

Dumb ass, these are classical zombies - they're afraid of fire. Go watch "Night of the Living Dead" again and stop stealing your responses to weapons from Max Brooks.

Mr Brooks, I think at least, best did the genre in his book.

I'd go for some shotgun, because since ammo is available, I could build crude mines/traps/grenades.

My teeth. My plan is to attack the zombies with their own weapons and suck out the dead brain tissue that's left in them. Unlimited ammo.

Would the unlimited ammo just count as a really good dental plan?
