for me as well, and i'm also on vistaTNP wrote:Ran perfectly on max settings for me, and I have Vista. You shouldn't need a top of the line PC to play it at mediocre settings.

I just got myself the Special Edition with bonus DVD, metal box, an EP (the CD looks like a vinyl record) and the figurine!
Edit:
Of course I'll leave the figurine in the box, so I can sell to some nerd in a few years.

Bad comparison, but its more the GTA 2D fanbase, who thinks like that. It`ll fit probably more to Mafia 2, though.
Stop reading here. You suck.

I bought the Collectors edition today (cost the same as normal version and I were in the store buying some books anyways).
I really like Bioshock, the console whoring is evident when playing it but far from enough to break the game.
The atmosphere is very very good (a very nicely done 1950ish), I really got into it at time when dodging splicers and stuff, the controls decent, I dont like the clear distinction in where you are supposed to be and not (being unable to jump on stuff that should clearly be accesible and some areas being linear like hell).
They have made most areas pretty diverse though, so you can run around checking stuff out but I still get the guiding hand feeling sometimes and that annoys me.
The plasmid powers and upgrades are fun, the hacking system repititive but a decent way to add at it anyways, it mostly is for getting machines to do your will anyways which is the cool part of it.
My biggest point is that I know it could have been better if they hadnt whored out to Xbox360 and made the game PC only, removing some of the simplistic stuff, there arent alot of it but its there and it could have been kept out and made an even better, more elaborate game.

After a rather hefty download of the demo that seemed like forever, I finally got it installed. And were amazed that the demo played on 4 year old system with its updated geforce 6600GT card. But it did...
I was also content to find out that I could the game's quest aroow OFF or ON at my leisure. Nice feature this is...
edit:
When I first entered the game, I thought ot was a cutscene, but then I saw something about movement and I pressed W --- and I swam. Terrific start...

I really like the sphere descent time, because when he's like "I chose... RAPTURE" it opens onto DX1. I was like "Fuck yeah, Denton reporting"aries100 wrote:When I first entered the game, I thought ot was a cutscene, but then I saw something about movement and I pressed W --- and I swam. I had no reason to, I dont collect and I dont sell stuff so leaving it in the package is a waste of space to me, so I took it out and placed it next to those Gollum and Minas Tirith figurines I got with the Lotr DVDs.Dreadnought wrote:Did you leave the figurine inside it's package?
