Citizen Kane is an important film and incredibly well shot etc etc etc. It is also heinously boring. Great film, hard to watch and definitely overrated (best film ever made? psshhh).

Why the hell is it ever on the top of any movie list? I don't care about great camera angles etc.... I want an interesting movie. There is nothing good out. Maybe I'll just watch Miller's Crossing again.

Kane is one of the most interesting film characters ever. Anyhow we had this big Cit Kane dispute once (more?) but IIRC in another thread

I believe the eventual conclusion was that Kane is a well-made movie that's ultimately boring. Which is correct.

Thank you... Everyone I know has a damn hardon for Borat. The only real memorable part was when he wrestled the fat guy naked. The rest of it was just a douchebag running around and meeting with other douchebags and making fun of jews. not really funny. And I'm gonna go out on a limb and guess that the guy playing Borat is a jew. Could I be right? Big jewy nose, curly black hair, dirty middle-eastern features, and he makes jokes about hating jews. He's gotta be a jew.
