Just because something is in a game doesn't mean it belongs there. However since it's there, it not belonging there is not a valid excuse not to use it...

I agree. But what the hell all these real-life weapons were doing in the game beats me...

half a bee, philosophically, must ipso facto half not be. but half the bee has got to be, visa ve its entity.

"visa-vis", And the bozar wouldn't be great in single shot mode anyhow.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but Bozar isn't a real weapon unlike many of fallouts weapons. I sure want to see that weapon in FO3. Maybe slightly modified so it's not too powerful.

And I hope it's not a FEVved version of LSW

Should I have added a ;-) with my statement "cheating"?. Rhetorical!

The bozar should be a hunting rifle equivalent in hypothetical single shot mode.

And I agree, it's not a real weapon.

Bozar all the way!
I don't consider it cheating, you can just pump up the difficulty of the game and combat, so it won't be THAT easy to kill with it. It just fits so good with the power armor, you know?

thats true, but if you elect to gain the sniper perk at lv. 24, providing you have the sufficient stats, there's no stopping you. i hit a guard at navarro for 1200hp on rough......

Bah, then don't pick the sniper perk
It ends up being your choice, your style of playing.

I'm sure most of you didn't create a high luck character and choose More criticals, Better criticals and Sniper perks when you played the game for the first time. Hell, I didn't even find a bozar in my first FO2 game. Yes it is possible to create a super character without cheating but that usually happens when you're replaying the game. Same thing with low intelligence characters/unarmed or melee fighters/extremely high luck explorers with outdoorsman skill tagged. Those characters make the game more exciting when you replay it. I bet if you found bozar in your first game you didnt think your character was and uber-char. Now that we know more about the game, we can maximize the advantages of items/perks in the game.

There's nothing wrong with bozar as a weapon and I don't consider using it as cheating.

It's not cheating. Using Bozar has it's pros and cons.

It does an exemplary amount of damage BUT it also is slow to use in combat due to 2 "shots" a reaload and it's huge ammo usage.

If you have the .233 then why not use Bozar.

First time I played through the game, I didn't think the Bozar I had was cheating. Heck, the Pulse rifle and the Gauss weapons seemed more cheating to me than Bozar..

Just a note that high luck has nothing to do with random encounters... You still get bad ones with high luck and good ones with low...

Luck does matter os SE. Like, you can't get the Radiactive thingie with good luck. I've plaeyd the game many many times, but I have never got that one, but I do not play low Luck chars.

as with every game. with every genre out there, we utilize experience to become more tactful both in the way we fight or act, and in the use of items. EVERY

I've never made a char with greater luck then 4 and never got the radioactive encounter either. Nor the exploding brahmin.

I spend 2-3 hours roaming the wasteland to find the pariah dog (with 2 luck), and I kept encountering the Cafe of broken dreams, the portal and the bridge...

I remember this discussion. It appears that Luck has absolutely nothing to do with what bad encounters you get. I've gotten the Pariah dog with luck of 8, i've played through the game with 3 or less luck characters and have never gotten the radioactive waste dump. Recently, i played a 6 luck char, and whoopi, there it is, toxic waste dump, after having played the game many times for 3 years, i finally got it, with 6 luck.

So low or high luck doesn't rule any special encounters out. Whether or not it improves your chances of getting it, i do not know.

Well, you maybe right.

I'd like to see Radiactive Dumb, but I never seem to get it nor do I get Pariah Dog....

Do you kill the bridgekeeper once you've asnwered his questions?

It gives 7500 exp. to kill him in combat...
