Language barriers
Oi, PiPster: how does one say
"Hello.
Thank you very much for your service - we have been very happy with your company and your workers, and we wish you all the best in the future.
Kind regards,
The staff."
in Polish?
Help a sister out here?

Dzien dobry,
dzienkuje za pomoc(help)/serwis(service) - jestersmy bardzo zadowoleni z panska firma in pracownikami. Zyczymy wszyskjego najlepszego i postdawjami,
dunno how to say STAFF... also I recommend a 'real' polack to check through this. I am pretty much positive there are 523452346 billion ways to express this in a better and more fitting way.

You can't get more grammatically correct than that.
You probably can, but that'd be too much of a compliment.

first off, you don't hello at the beginning of formal letters - neither in Eng nor in PL, so just skip it. If you really must, go with
"Dzień dobry!" (last letter in first word should be 'n' with something which looks like an 'accect' mark over it, though it's really a palatalisation mark, like that little wave you got in some other languages. Type 'n' if you can't get that one.)
then go like this:
"Dziękujemy bardzo za wasze usługi - byliśmy bardzo zadowoleni z waszej firmy i waszych pracowników i życzymy wam powodzenia w przyszłości.
Z wyrazami szacunku
- personel/pracownicy/zespół/załoga/sztab/grono pedagogiczne."
What kind of 'staff'? At what place? You'll probably want the 'personel' option but I can't be totally sure. There's also a slight chance I'm not translating 'service' right, so you could be more specific about that too.
Oh in case Polish diacritic signs got fucked up by DAC (totally happens in the Polish subforum) here is a diacritic-free version:
"Dzien dobry!
Dziekujemy bardzo za wasze uslugi - bylismy bardzo zadowoleni z waszej firmy i waszych pracownikow i zyczymy wam powodzenia w przyszlosci.
Z wyrazami szacunku
- personel."
I think maybe you should write something like "personel Smith &co." - it would be clearer who actually wrote this. In Polish definiteness is contextual, not article-marked so 'THE staff' doesn't work that good.
Oh, both the 'author' (verbs) and the 'addressee' (possessive pronouns) are in plural, so if you need either put in singular let me know.
There ya go
(next time PM me tho; rarely do I have the time to read all new threads..)

that's actually an insult, TT, fyi
It's basically saying "lol, we fired you, and now we are even such assholes as to ridicule you with our hypocritical antics"
fuck that, at least be honest and tell them to get fucked or just leave it at that ffs
I doubt you'll understand that, but some part in me thinks not all is lost in you.

This may be the ONE thing I ever say to you (partly since you're a girl, mostly because you've been cool to me) but....Tingel Tangel wrote:Actually, we were all fired. The lot of us. -we- didn't fire -them-. The main company decided to close the place down and we're all fired as of October 31st. The not is not meant as an insult but as a genuine thank you for their effort.
