First of all: so, what, because I'm cool to you, you don't say stuff to me? What's the deal here?

Second of all:
I've never worked at McDonalds, and I never, ever will.

I work in a diner on a train station, run by the national train company - it's a sobby mixture between fast food (burgers, hot dogs, french fries) and "real" food, such as steaks of various sorts. It's fast food, yes, but not even near the soggy McDonalds quality.

Three years ago, the main company, DSB, decided to close down all the diners to change them into fancy combo ticket offices, kiosks and fast food outlets. So during the last couple of years, they've closed them down one by one and refurnished them to be so. There are only about five diners left of that kind in the country, and three of them are closing down October 31st - the one I work in being one of them. So we were all fired - my boss, the sou chef, the full-time, part-time and weekend staff and all the contractors. We all knew it was coming, but just thought it wouldn't happen before 2008.
*shrugs* not a big deal, though. I'll find a new job soon enough and hopefully wont happen to be stuck in fastfood during the rest of my studies.

Sorry forgot to put a word in there - "the only 'asshole' thing" is what I meant to say.

Actually, a diner by a train station sounds pretty damn cool IMHO - sounds like a Denny's or a Waffle House, except for lunch/dinner instead of breakfast.
