Scott City...

Like Tactics? Found a cool mod for another game that reminds you of Fallout? Playing those crappy spin-off console games called "Fallout"? Discuss here.

Land mines are somewhat effective. Otherwise get somewhere out of their range with a sniper and go for aimed shots to the head. Knock them unconscious and it is a little easier to hit them with all you have.

I just open up at long range with energy weapons. They usually die long before they get into range to hit me. If you can snipe at them from a second-story building, so much the better.

EMP shotgun shells and pulse grenades do wonders as well :D

But yea - pound 'em from far away, and in the event the Bot gets too close, open up with EMP shells and/or a pulse/plasma grenade.

Targetted shots to the CPU also help greatly. Don't forget about Science and its ability to boost critical chances vs. robots

Gauss weapons seem to work well against the fokkers.

True, but gauss ammo doesn't exactly grow on trees :D

Of course, neither do EMP shells or pulse grenades...

My standard users for those two are:

Pancor + EMP Shells: Jax. (Kamikaze = +25% Damage +50% extra damage due to Robots lack of EMP Resistance = Damn close to cheating)

Pulse Grenades: Toni (also has Kamikaze) w/the Psychotic perk, doped up on Psycho is a Behemoth killin' machine. She just shrugs off the hail of their puny little .50 cal. shells like so many drops of a pleasant spring rain...
