Need Fallout 1 Video Reference Please (newly annexed Canada)

Howdy all,

In Fallout 1, during the intro cutscene, when it hits the part about "Our dedicated boys keep the peace in newly annexed Canada", and the prisoners are shot assassination-style, this is a reference to a famous news video from someplace like Viet Nam, or Korea... It was one of those famous video footage icons of the horrors of war.

Unfortunately, I cannot for the life of me remember who shot it, where it was shot, when it was shot, and while I know for a fact it has been discussed before, I can find no reference to it via Ask, Google, or on the Fallout Wiki.

Could someone -please- give me the details on the reference?

Interesting read. The article almost makes you feel sorry for the guy what pulled the trigger.
