Stating a fact
Fallout 1 was so much better than Fallout 2 because of the limited amount of weapons you had in Fallout 1. Made it less ridiculous I reckon.
Amirite?
I suggest mild discussions followed by tea with milk and lots of sugar.

HKG11 had no place in FO2.
Vindicator, too.
Bozar? Aw cmon.
Gyrojet would have been much more appropriate for goofy weapons.
FO2 just went in too many directions, and broke convention.
Some of the "retro" FOT weapons would have been appropriate.

If you're stating a fact, why do you want our agreeance?MOTHER FUCKING COCK SUCKING CHUNK OF PREDIGESTED CORN-FILLED SHIT INFESTED WITH MAGGOTS AND TURKEY T wrote:Fallout 1 was so much better than Fallout 2 because of the limited amount of weapons you had in Fallout 1. Because just like most of the real questionable posters on this forum, he feels the need to make topics constantly.Wolfman Walt wrote:If you're stating a fact, why do you want our agreeance?

initially, when I was a younger gamer, I liked more guns. After some time I started to think that the narrower choice of toys in Fo1 is indeed better: less of a hype-candy that many-cool-guns usually are, and with fewer guns you cared more about them. Choices between guns were harder and so more meaningful.

i enjoyed the greater variety of weapons in fallout 2, even if many of them seemed obsolete by the time you got them, simply because fallout 1's system of few guns and obvious choices concerning what to use seems silly and very d&d, as though there are only six small guns and six big guns in the world. it gave the impression that the guns were made specifically to be found and used by the player, which i didnt like. i dont really care if i had no use for the hkg11, i liked the fact that it was there

I agree with JGHG. It was cool that I could use a tommygun even if it would totally get me killed. Its all about the choices in FO. They were just adding more shit that you could do.
I would have liked it more if every gun had its own unique purpose instead of different guns having pretty much the exact same effect in combat. Again its just about which one you prefer. And think about how many different types of guns we have in our world. In a post-apoc world where everyone has a gun, there wouldn't be a whole gang walking around with the same exact make and model.

They just went over the top in Fallout 2. Having a wide variety of weapons is FAR from a bad thing, it's just the areas from which they chose to draw said weapons that made Fallout 2's weapons inferior.
