You are selling a 92 for 4k?
Must be nice.

Here you go if you want to display some knowledge.

I've got a 94 Regal Limited. Compressor bearings are fucked and I ain't replacing the thing and I don't want the belt to explode seeing as how it ain't that old.
If I throw on a smaller belt, what is the effective belt surface needed to properly rotate a water pump pulley.

Just wondered what kind of second opinion I could get from Gore.

PS - I know I can get a bypass pulley, but I can't find one as soon as I would like.

You don't want to cheap out on a water pump belt.

Question: does it use a V-belt or a flat belt?
does this work

Serpentine V-belt.

Its not a matter of cheaping out, its a matter of proper setup.
I figure I might get a little less drag out of it too.

Possibly, but just from slippage, which would, in turn, cause the narrower belt to wear quicker.
does this work

go to a junk yard/ wrecking yard, find your car or matching year and brand, grab the compressor, or a pulley with the same diameter as the compressor /if pulley : ( an adjustable bracket that will bolt up in a workable fashion, dont get all brand bias , cross brand parts work some times,) and for god's sake , check the bearings . and grab spacers to
just in case.

Ive had to do the same thing before on my old S-10 blazer before i swapped the engine.

electric lock or manual ? there are differences, if electric, pop door panel, check out whats going on, and get back to me, if manual, its kerfucked, get a new mechanism, or check if its just disconnected, happens sometimes, or pop the door panel and ... got this?.... look at what is going on.. and get back to me.

as for your A/C ... duck.
