Without meeting her or being in the situation, advice is only as good as what is given.

I've been in this sort of situation before and as I used to be a pushover in a relationship, so, I can tell you this.
Since you are with her and it sounds like she took you back for pity, I would lay off with all the nancy boy shenanigans and let her think you have a set of your own.
Take what you typed and lay off with the complements and don't be surprised if she will or is cheating on you.

As far as my experience goes, very few women like clingy guys. Unless, of course, they are clingy themselves, which doesn't sound like the case.

issue : Girlfriend loves my hair long...i kind of like it too, but its been getting in the way, and i'm tempted to cut it kind of short...so do i stick w/ it long, even though semi annoying(i do like it long)...or do i go for convenience?

Sounds like this kind of problem can be solved with a coin toss. If you want to cut it, cut it. If you don't, don't. The real question is whether you're one of the rare guys who can pull off long hair without looking like they need a bath.

well..we're both fairly grungy, and it works for both of us...it mainly right now depends on if i get back into anything athletic, that would kind of be the deathblow for a return to short hair
