Urizen's teevee tips #1
Dexter. it's about a serial murderer who's also a police officer investigating... you guessed it: serial murderers. most of the characters are pretty bland, but dexter himself is played\narrated brilliantly by the same guy who played the gay brother in six feet under. i'm watching the first season finale now, and i'm very impressed.

that, I take it, includes things that have 'seasons' and 'episodes' which I stay away from.Urizen wrote: me neither. i dl or stream everything except the news.
So actually you do watch TV (content) just on your computer's screen. Not much difference really. (except you choose when to watch the shows you want, but that's irrelevant here)

well aren't IThor Kaufman wrote:you're such an intellectual, PiP
seriously though, on the one hand most of what's on TV puts me off and my talking about it can look like I'm trying to be real smartass
but on the other hand I don't finish reading many books and I know far too little about politics, contemporary art etc to call myself an "intellectual"
So I'm just somewhere in the middle - my taste won't let me watch TV crap but I'm too (lazy?) to be a true highbrow who cares really
edit: btw, about 13 years ago I did enjoy shows like Northern Exposure MASH, X files and Monty Python is a true classic ofkoz
Nowadays I just don't care to fumble in all the TV shit to find some series worth wasting my time on. I've got better ways of entertaining myself, films, games, books and DAC come to mind first

I usually just give a quick glance at the TV guide to see if any interesting movies would air in the non-horrible-dubbed channels.
For some reason I can't follow series on the TV because always sooner or later I'll miss an episode and everything goes downhill.
I recommend the new Battlestar Galactica, it's quite awesome.
