Well, diabetes is another issue. Obviously you want to watch your carb intake if you're diabetic or at risk. But again, I'm not suggesting loading up on chocolate chip cookies and a pot of spaghetti for lunch, just that low-carb diets do more harm than good (and like almost all other fad diets, you lose more water weight than actual body fat).
