Interplay "focused on two-pronged growth strategy"

In their latest <a href="http://www.sec.gov/Archives/edgar/data/ ... 000841.txt" target="_blank">SEC filing</a>, <a href="http://www.interplay.com/" target="_blank">Interplay </a>revealed that they are<ul><li>Re-opening their in-house games studio, and hiring <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jason_Ande ... 8artist%29" target="_blank">Jason Anderson</a> of Fallout and Troika fame as the creative director of an as yet unannounced MMO
</li><li>Still working on securing funding for a seperate project, their Fallout MMO
</li></ul><ul><li>"Exploring ways to leverage their mpressive portfolio of gaming properties through sequels and various development and publishing arrangements"</li></ul>Although they've sold off they're most valuable asset, the Fallout license, Interplay still holds the rights to several impressive games, such as Earthworm Jim, Descent, Sacrifice and MDK (Mother's Day Kisses).
It should be safe to assume that the MMO being developed by Jason Anderson will be using one of these licenses. My money's on Descent, but I would personally prefer another Sacrifice game. <img width="400" height="267" border="0" src="http://fallout3.files.wordpress.com/200 ... m_pic5.jpg" />

I believe it's one of the few franchises Interplay still owns. Probably because nobody wanted it....

ahahah I said the same thing the first time I saw the pic.

By the way that image was taken just before Herve took all those goodies to his home, when he was evicted from the old interplay headquarters, including the original DeathClaw model.

The image is from NMA, Corith, a former Interplay employee that became Herve's worst nightmare, got it, I just stole it.

One thing though, he licensed Earthworm Jim to another company earlier on, but he seems to have snatched it back without much explaining being given.

I wonder what happened with that.

That seems to happen to companies Herve touches. Remember that one MMO game Interplay was financing?
