I don't recall if we've ever made a thread like this. If we have, well, time for a new one!

Do any of you have tattoos? If so, show me!
I've had two done during this year, one on my left wrist and one on my right angle:


This one sadly has a lot of flaws in it, partly due to my skin stretching and healing unpredictably, partly due to me squirming and being a pussy when getting it. I don't think I want to have it redrawn just yet, though, since I rather like the flaws and asymetrics of it.


These are, as the cunning forum member will know, my initials. K and S. It's my most recent one. You'll have to forgive the blurryness and the blood and such - the picture was taken almost right after I had it done. It's not swollen at all anymore and I should probably take fresh ones...
I had this one made because my father disowned me when I moved away from home at 17 and asked me to change my surname to my mother's maiden name. I refused to do so, since I'm just as much born with the name as he is, and I have the initials on me as a constant reminder of my own identity. It sounds emo and like I'm forgetful, I know, but it holds a great importance to me.

Don't have any, but planning on getting one eventually. Some random I worked with is a pretty awesome tattooist, and will open his shop in January, so I'll probably get it done then. He's running it out of his house at the moment, and we frequently get sent pics of his latest works, he's pretty awesome.

I have what could be termed a tattoo. Despite occasional interruptions by what could be termed untattoo, it is a singular physical entity. Through depiction are the lost conveyed. By consensus and whim : words alone. Ehue.

It's a trinity symbol - Maiden, Mother and Crone, the Triple Goddess, who shows up in every major old mythology: Greek, Nordic, Celtic, Indian, Egyptian... Stands for sexuality, being a free spirit, being motherly and caring and protective, wisdom... All that jazz.

Back when I got it, I was in a guild called Hands of Kali with my alli character in WoW and was teased a great deal because the tat also resembles Kali -.-

Anyway, no, no skank tattoos - I do know someone with a humming bird on her pussy, though? But she's gotten pregnant and given birth lately, so I don't imagine you'd even want pics.

Also, a friend of mine woke up in Dublin with a hangover and the Red Hot Chili Peppers symbol on his right arm. He's not too happy about that.

I like tattoos on women. One of my closest friends has a yin/yang symbol on her left angle - which is my design, actually, a Chinese symbol with flowers on her right shoulder and 'one ring to rule them all' in Elvish on the small of her back. I personally think the latter is tacky, but it does look pretty on her.

I know a guy who owns a pool hall/nightclub here who has a beard, sideburns, sleeves (pictures, not solid) all tattooed on. Oh, plus raccoon circles - he is also a BIG guy, not fat, just really husky like an Iowa farmboy. He looks scary as hell.

Tingel: How does a wrist tat feel? You bleed like a sieve? I'm considering getting the gonzo insignia down my right wrist or perhaps even an enlarged version with the fist in my palm, the hilt across my wrist and the dagger going down my forearm. Thoughts?

The one on my angle actually hurt more. The wrist tat bleeds, but it also brushes nerves that just numb down untill you can't really feel your fingertips - the parts that really hurt were the three 'flowers' and the grey areas.

I like the tats on women that look like the leg-bands strippers sometimes wear so you can stiff your tips into them.

P.S. - Depending on the tattoo, chicks with minor or different tattoos aren't bad. I prefer my women untouched and generally find women hotter with no tattoos and well placed piercings......

Leg tattoos on chicks usually make me think "whore" though.

I've got a greyscale werewolf with russian writing that covers half of my abdomen that I got to honor a friend who died in a car wreck. That one hurt like hell it felt like my tattoo artist was digging a hot poker into my armpit no matter where she was at and the tat doesn't even go to my armpit! I also have a black raven that's styled to resemble a thunderbird with a Guinness harp and Thor's hammer in it on one shoulder, a dragon head on the other one that I got so my tattoo artist could get some practice and a Bobba Fett under it that takes up most of my bicep. Maybe I'll post pics if I ever get a digital camera.

got it almost exactly 2 years ago on my right shoulder blade, taken right after i got it. many more to come along w/ (hopefully) some major scarification as well :masochism:

:edit: anyone who says it looks uneven...it depends on how i'm standing...it looks strange as hell if i've got my arm in certain directions /edit.

Well I remember having INK inside my body, but not for decorational purpose.

Someone had to fend me off once, and the only weapon around was a pen. I broke the persons hand after that.
Anyway, I forgot to clean my wounds, thus some of the ink stayed inside me.
