It's probably one of the better anime movies out there, compared to the usual bullshit. It's fucking insane, and the animation is still awesome today.

Ghost in the Shell, Akira, Neon Genesis and Death Note are my recommendations so far.

GitS was pretty good, although I'm not sure if I liked the actual movie so much as the effects and art direction. It's been a while since I watched it.

Masamune Shirow`s Ghost in the Shell; I red it,I watched it...and I still think Shirow`s greatest work was Appleseed series.
Reading Zombie Powder nowadays...(totally four volume)
Anyway,I don`t know anything about Death Note, is it an anime or a manga comic-book? / A short description please? / Overall rating of it?

Started out as a Shonen Jump manga, ended up as an anime series.
Bored schoolboy finds a book that kills people. Laffs ensue.
The first half is fantastic, the second half is really really disappointing.
It's definitely worthwhile.

Neon Genesis Evangelion is terrible, you fruits.
Since we're recommending animes, Paranoia Agent was pretty good.

qfe - the static backgrounds in that movie are amazing, unfortunately every other aspect is total :wank:
