Ultimate Zombie Thread
I have been absolutely insane for zombie-type shit lately, and in an effort to sink deeper into this undead realm I have decided to start the Ultimate Zombie Thread.
This thread will consist of a mighty list of great zombie media, whether it be books, films, comics, or games categories. I will begin by listing my favorites in these departments. I would appreciate suggestions of your favorites that I have missed, then I can add them to the list.
This will just be a resource for starter zombie heads (like myself) to use to explore the fascinating realm of the living dead...
Again this is just anything that I can recommend personally so I realize I left out alot. Add your favorites to the list so we can go check them out.

I can't believe I forgot Shaun of tthe Dead.. fixed it, and Planet Terror, was it any good?

it's a single-player mod for half-life 1. some parts are a little cheesy (reskinned security guard "zombies" with guns ) but it's still an excellent game, all things considered. i remember the environments were amazingly designed.Dogmeatlives wrote:Never heard of They Hunger...
there are two sequels too.

I understand the cool-factor of the samurai sword but they don't seem effective when destroying the brain. I voted baseball bat.

I just watched Planet Terror the other day.
While not the greatest zombie movie ever (that would be reserved for Romero's work) it did pay great homage to him.
It even featured Tom Savini, who had an awesome death scene befitting the body of work he's contributed to the zombie genre. He did all the effects for Romero, did the remake of NOTLD and played the lead biker in the original Dawn.
Planet Terror is a zombie movie fan's zombie movie (much like Shaun of the Dead, much unlike the recent remakes).
There's always Lucio Fulci's zombie series too, which is unofficially meant to pick up where Romero left off, but IMO they fall flat. The most notable thing about them is the ubiquitous 'eye puncture' scenes they all have

LoL you forgot the Aussie 'classic' UNDEAD. One of the people playing in this movie is actually a friend of a friend of mine.
And if you set your expectations to 0 and watch UNDEAD, you'll actually be surprised that the movie is kinda fun.
