AvP 2

Talk about music, movies, TV, books, other types of entertainment and what your vices are. Also, if you're addicted to the high you get off Aspirin, this is the place to talk about it.

I went last night with 3 good friends of mine, and we pretty much all went in with the expectation of entertainment, and that we received.

I found myself laughing out loud on several occasions, from the first "Daddy..?" /FACEHUG to the whirling giant stars who impale a certain someone to the wall.

There were a few things bothering me, mainly the predator being practically blind and only able to look straight ahead (we all obviously know that aliens couldn't possibly be climbing above or underneath you) and his vision modes which were possibly worse than in the previous movies. (With the exclusion of AvP 1, which I haven't seen)

I like how most considered it covered up, and it ends up with very few knowing about it, explaining how the aliens are a surprise, far into the future.
And how Weyland Yutani gets that edge in commerce...

It's a horror flick, no more, no less. There was a bit too much shakeycam for my liking, and I would've liked a few stillshots, where you could properly see the rastafari blast some aliens away.

The copied scenes from the other movies were alright, but not all that clever. Especially the one in the weed, were she turns away from an alien like Ripley does in "Alien".

I'm hoping for the next flick to be in the future again, with more badass marines, and less whiney swell guy with weapons they pick up along the way.
