I Am considering giving Icewind dale a try Seeing as The only black isle game I Have ever played was Fallout 1 And 2. But what one should I Get? Should I Even Bother buying it at all?

Also, get planescape. I don't even need to explain myself just get it.
They're not GOTY material, but they're still a nice experience, as well as the Baldur's Gate games.
There are memorable moments in most games, and trying to just grab the "best", will not only rob you of those moments, but also of any comparison in order for you to recognise "the best".
All of the games above have an element of heart in them, like games before the quantity-over-quality age of cross platforms and graphics whoring.
I tried playing IWD but really could not do it. I hate the DnD system with passion, it is what ruins the game entirely for me. Planescape was the only DnD game that I could ever play, others like NWN, BG and IWD I could not play for more than 1 hour.
You could try persuading me that they had an awesome storyline or something but fuck, when I take one glimpse at the game, I just know that this shit is not for me.
Unfortunately IWD and especially it's sequal are much better far into the storylines.
btw, I didn't enjoy planescape.
I never really liked plane traveling and the smattering of genres, maybe I got put off by ending up in the labyrinth not far into the game, but fuck, when I take one glimpse at the game, I just know that this shit is not for me.
Honestly, I just never gave it a fair chance and by the sound of the last ccouple of years of random people praising it I guess I'm missing out on something.

It seemed Old So It looked Informable.
what the hell is it with your random capitalization of words? dysgraphia? dyslexia? weird understanding of syntax? ironic (ugh) stab at the reader? it's really darn difficult to look at
