Not really. It didn't change anything in Britain except for putting a dent in their colonial system. They'd already had a longstanding parliamentarian rule there. Didn't change a whole lot in the "revolutionary" sense, either... it's sometimes referred to as the War for Independence instead of the "American Revolution" because lifestyles and political thinking in the States didn't really change, it was simply the forming of a state to represent a nation of people separate from their mother country.

What it DID do was help warm the flames of revolution in France, the end product of which was the Napoleonic wars.
