this was pretty swank. if you don't enjoy watching a priest get beaten to death with a bowling pin there's something very wrong with you.

Come on man!! Fuck! I was looking for a review, not a fucking spoiler. For fuck's sake. I was really looking forward to seeing this with a clear mind and now the whole time I'll be wondering when the bowling pin enters the movie. Thank you so fucking much!

the bowling lane scene would be a good indicator of impending pins.Dogmeatlives wrote:Come on man!! Fuck! I was looking for a review, not a fucking spoiler. For fuck's sake. So I just got back from seeing it and I have to confirm pretty much everything said. It is muy excellente. It's also like 2 hours and 40 minutes long, so if you're goin to the theater to see it, prepare to sit for a long while. I didn't find it that slow, personally, and everyone in the crowd of like 60 or 80 people were pretty enthralled by it so I would say it's more than enough to keep your attention. The sound track is very excellent as well and is one of the best parts of the movie.
My only real complaint about the movie is just a minor one in that it didn't really seem like the character Eli aged any. He looked like he was 16 throughout the whole movie.
Also confirming that Daniel Day-Lewis is the man.

It also bugged me a little, especially in the last scene. It wouldn't have been so hard just to add him some facial hair, or whatever.Wolfman Walt wrote:My only real complaint about the movie is just a minor one in that it didn't really seem like the character Eli aged any. Woop woop. '08 is starting strong already. NCFOM, Cloverfield, and now this. Day-Lewis is a champion of the Daniels of the world.
And for spoilers - it's nothing big. It can't be avoided. It's the scene that makes the film notorious. Like the curb stomp, squeal like a pig, is it safe, wood chipper, etc.
