The Arena!!!

(OOC: I admit, it does sound interesting. I don't know if we should violate the history of the arena to suddenly make it to a planet level. In the old arena, people cast spells over the thing to change the setting, pitch black, ice world, medieval only. That sort of thing... I might consider doing that some time but I am still undecided.)

(How about just allowing fighters to fight outside the arena? The planet is imaginary, so the rules don't matter, and you won't have to rewrite arena history. You could make it so that only established fighters (10 or so battles,) could compete in them. I would comply to that rule, and I think more people would fight just for the opportunity to see what a planet battle would be like. Just slip another rule in. Seems easy enough to me...)

Ok, you've convinced me. Fighters will now have the opportunity to fight outside the arena on a planetary basis! The arena will still be here for people who want to fight en masse. The planet systems is more for one-on-one duels, to ensure that they are all that more private. And since the planet doesn't really exist, there can be volcanoes or whatever you wish to fight in. The arena still stands for people who don't fancy fighting that way or just don't want to duel as mass fights on a planet can get pretty complicated.

*Suddenly all of Malus' skeletons collapse and the dragons return to their previous state. Malus has a frightened look on his face. A deep voice booms down from the heavens it is Reaper.

"You have taken one step too far, back to hell with you."

*A portal opens next to Malus and he goes flying through. Reaper respawns and is joined by RD and BD. He is ready to fight.

Right Haplo.

(OOC: Reaper, planet level battles can be difficult to grasp at first. The worst way to fight is one-ups-man-ship, where power is steadily escalated until the whole planet is destroyed. I don't fight like that. I keep the power at one level, and limit blast size to roughly equal to that of a nuclear explosion. Power can be high, but too high and things get out of hand. Punches and kicks can send opponents flying for miles in any direction, changing scenery and possibilities. Weapon attacks can slice buildings in half if wanted. You want to stay open for using any possibility that becomes available in the location your in. I.E. You're in a city, and you want to cast a spell, but your staff is broken and your opponent is breathing down your neck. So, you knock a building over on top of him to keep him occupied, and rip a handy signpost out to serve as a makeshift staff. You get the point. Having said that, lets begin!)

*Reaper pulls out his twin swords and leaps out to follow Haplo into a dense forest. Reaper looks around but Haplo can't be seen.

"Must be hiding ro behind more trees..."

*Reaper readies his swords for combat and slowly walks through the forest, looking out for Haplo.

*Haplo's laughter fills the forest. Reaper looks around, trying to find the source. Haplo, having hid himself in a sniping position, knocks an arrow and fires...

*Reaper looks around and sees an arrow heading to him, just in time he swung his swords and caught the arrow between them. The arrow drops to the ground in front of Reaper and he looks to where it came from. He can barely see a slight difference in the colour of the trees, it had to be Haplo, he thought. Reaper starts making his way to Haplo's position.

"Now you're in for it!"

*Haplo, being a master Ranger, has a way of blending in while in the woods. Reaper, approaching the firing position that Haplo was standing in, finds it to be nothing more than a decoy...

*Haplo materializes behind an ancient and temendous tree, cutting at the root, in begins to fall towards Reaper...

*Reaper hears the sound of falling wood behind him and leaps to the side, only one word can be heard from him before the tree falls.

"Shit!"

*Reaper stands up to see Haplo for a moment, he then vanishes. Reaper is surprised at first then thinks of a solution, he casts a fireball at the trees and sets the whole forest on fire :twisted:.

*The fire causes the creatures in the forest to come stampeding out, and Reaper stands calmly in the middle as the rabbits, deer, and birds run past him. He sees a quick shadow fly past him, and stop at the tree that was cut down. Haplo materializes besides it, and picks the entire tree up and swings it like a baseball bat....

Ha! Gotcha!

*Reaper is content with the carnage and only just sees a flaming trunk heading towards him. He has no time to dodge, only prepare for takeoff.

"HOLY FUCK!"

*The trunk hits him and Reaper flies away, out of the forest and a faint voice can be heard from Reaper.

"I can see my house from here."

*Reaper slams right into the side of an apartment block in a small town and tries to get down without going SPLAT! on the ground.

SM apparates back into the Arena, and sees a large fire off in the distance. Reaper and Haplo are nowhere to be found.

"The must be off in the forest. I can't believe they are still fighting. Oh well, I need to find someone else to kill now."

He teleports to the highest ledge of the Arena and magnifies his voice with the use of magic.

"If any of you weaklings want to die, I am waiting right up here."

SM sits down and starts meditating, focusing on his evil energies, and visiting in his mind the place where he feels most evil. He is killing people, with a dark nonchalance, as if they aren't worth his rage. Overcome with pure evil, he warms up like this and time passes by quicjly for him. He just stays in his little evil world until someone challenges him.

(OOC: This is fun, love the new avatar Haplo)

*Reaper is about to fall but he grabs the window sill above him and swings up as he sees Haplo rocketing toward him. Reaper goes through the above window and crashes through to see two people in bed, looking at him. Reaper looks around and takes a running leap out the window and sticks his sword into the wall and uses the momentum to swing up the building to the roof. The sword slices through the brick and the top half of the building splits in half and stays upright, but only barely. Reaper does his best to balance on the slanted rooftop.

"Make your move."

*Looking up at the precarious building, the people screaming inside, and Reaper standing on top, Haplo did the only thing he could do. Finish the Job! Haplo flies through the air and kicks the side of the building, sending it crashing to the ground. Reaper rides the collapse, and jumps to the attack against Haplo. Haplo dodges the vicous attack, which cuts open a fire hydrant, spraying thousands of gallons of water everywhere. Haplo looks around and the only handy weapon he can see is a Volvo....

(OOC: Thanks Reaper. I'd still rather have a sprite of Galford and Poppy though, since this one kinda suits BB better than I.)

*Reaper shakes off the water and dusts down the debris. He sees Haplo pick up a Volvo and hurl it toward him. Reaper jumps up and lands on the Volvo then leaps off it toward Haplo, swinging the sword vertically.
