Brilliant movie.
I nominate Sean Penn for president.

Yea it wasnt a bad movie, abit to long though and I really dont get why the kid would want to be all by himself?
Other than that I feel like doing a trip of my own right about now.
Edit: I shouldnt say I dont get why he would want to be all alone, rather, why does he like being all alone?
Great feature to add Pearl Jam as the main artist of the movie.

It's based on a true story Mr Snake so they probably have that information online. Wasn't there another movie based on the story or like a book? I remember a movie of how a kid goes off by himself and burns a hole in a tree stump so that he can have a house.
Either way I'll probably have to rent this movie but Sean penn is quite the swell guy.

I know its a true story. But still, what is the urge he has to be alone?POOPERSCOOPER wrote:It's based on a true story Mr Snake so they probably have that information online. Everyone has an urge to travel, I have it constantly.
Anyway after seeing the movie I did kind of feel like going camping I guess.
But rest assured it will be next to a 7-eleven.

I remember I was in junior high when the book came out and his story swept the nation. Since then I've re-read it several times.
The movie was amazing. It sucked they didn't release it everywhere. I had to drive 45 minutes to the nearest theater playing opening night. And it was one of those out of the way theaters nobody goes to off I-95. The last Hoyts in Connecticut or something. In my area everybody goes to the North Haven Showcase Cinemas. Why they didn't show it there is a mystery.

Same here, I don't remember seeing it played in any theatre. Strangely, this japanese video store a few streets from home has like 10 copies of it.Mad Max RW wrote:I remember I was in junior high when the book came out and his story swept the nation. Since then I've re-read it several times.
