And once Paul disappears it's just not the same.

Where abouts do people get their books from? The state of fiction/sci fi in australian book stores is bordering on shit and non-existent, so I've taken to simply ordering things on Amazon from the states (because even after shipping and exchange rates it both cheaper and I can find the product)
Anything else people can suggest I pick up in my next batch? What I planned to get so far:
The Road
Wastelands
World Made by Hand

I'll make a list of sci-fi stuff later, too tired, just got home from work. That sucks though, dude, in my town there are a half dozen worthwhile used book stores, one that is literally floor to ceiling books with aisles like two feet wide.

I think I'll restart that after a decade of having it laying around.Caleb wrote:just started The Book of the New Sun by Gene Wolfe...so far some of the best writing i've ever seen. So far just follows the life of a torturer in a very far distant future world where the sun is failing. will post more as i get further in.
The Dying Sun thing reminds me of the Dying Earth RPG.
Well , whaddaya know... the wiki corroborates my association.
I am just about to start A New Kind Of Science.
I have had the hardback sitting around for many years, and now.. now it is TIME!

Perdido Street Station. It makes all the books in that batch look like Cat in the Hat.Stainless wrote:Anything else people can suggest I pick up in my next batch? What I planned to get so far:
