Should I get Oblivion?

Discuss anything from Age of Empires to Wasteland. Any gaming talk that isn't Fallout-related goes here.

Replayability isn't one of it's key-features..
Depends on how you play, I like to explore everything and achieve as much as I possibly can in one run.

Oblivion doesn't really give you that many opportunities, the choices don't seem to affect anything else.

I've tried to pick it up as a magic-user a few times now, and I never manage to get anywhere, because it all feels so boring... there aren't any "different" things to do, except pursue a "career" in the magic guild, which you couldn't do before, unless you could cast a few spells.

You can't even challenge yourself, because of the scaled leveling.

So for me, there's no replay value, except mods if there are any decent ones out there.

IMHO, poops, try Morrowind with the two expansions, it's a decent and enjoyable game.

QFE. Morrowind was way better than Oblivion.
Anyway, Scoops, really do steer away from Oblivion, it is a horrible, horrible game. I cannot be bothered to write more, so just refer back to previous posts in this thread.

We'll say the same thing about Oblivion once Fallout 3 is out. :giggle:

I hated morrowind and hate in general that style of sandbox turd. But...with the predator mod installed it is quite entertaining. actually might give it a reinstall for that reason
