Clockwork Orange

Talk about music, movies, TV, books, other types of entertainment and what your vices are. Also, if you're addicted to the high you get off Aspirin, this is the place to talk about it.

What about Dr. Strangelove? It's a pure example of military paranoia, of course its a bit outdated with it being with commies, but I think the overall message can still be interpreted for our current situation.

I watched The good shepherd lately, it wasn't that bad fyi.
1984 is very good.
Equilibrium is an overrated piece of shit albeit Christian Bale stars in it.

movies that are about the near future are always off, the only ones that seem to be any good are ones like gattaca and a few steven spielberg ones. Movies made about current events obviously dont wear out, they just become history.

in a clockwork orange it is like the super sixties, everything is as if the world was a swinger paradise.

What's outdated about sex, drugs and mayhem?

Besides, Clockwork is really about exercising free will - a pretty eternal theme.

Well, yeah, when you drop enough LSD, everything's relevant.

hey that might actually work. 5 books of beauty for buildup, and 2 books of sheer ass-buggery that lets you down so hard it feels like your dad walked out on you for the second time.

I don't even consider that fucking moron Stephen King a writer. The only decent thing he had, TDT series, he ruined with the last books. Can't believe i wasted my time on that shit. As for Kubrick, he's a fucking genius. In fact i'm going to watch Barry Lyndon now. Haven't seen it yet, but i'm sure it's going to be good.

While I usually can handle the slow pace of Kubrick's movies, Barry Lyndon is a bit too slow. It could use some chopping.

FMJ is an amazing piece of cinema, I only wish I could watch it in a movie theater.

Clockwork Orange is still good, how could it possibly be bad?

Batman Begins is another one that is rewatchable, the drug scenes are great, reminds me of my party-till-3-days-from-now days with peoples skin melting off and demons exploding in fire out of the grass. Good times
