Nothing was actually fired during the cold war, so why would you need to duck and cover if there was another one? :?

He's probably a wanker. Quebec is awesome, and if its something the northern americas need its more diverse cultures and languages. Stops the inhabitants of turning into Gore and Caztard.

Quebec is full of French people, who speak FRENCH. got nothing against any other foreign language. Only french. Even Afrikaans is better.

yeah I know about this. It was long known, now more so with our involvement in Georgia. Hopefully the threat of american-russian nuke war has long been close to zero, as everyone is too aware of the would-be consequences. If anyone with ability to think is afraid of Russia, it is being afraid of exerting pressure through fuel/energy and economy, or conventional warfare like in Georgia. With these threats the anti-nuke-missile shield hasn't got much to do.

fair enough. i just look at it as a manifestation of previous issues. The thing that interests me is the proximity of georgia, iran, turkey, and iraq and our lovely president. Just wondering now if we're about to see a match tossed into a vat of gasoline.

update: I've just stumbled across this recent poll:
Do you think Russia could attack Poland in near future?

Yes - 49,8%
No - 38,1%
Hard to tell - 12,2%
