The Movies, Music, and Games thread

Talk about music, movies, TV, books, other types of entertainment and what your vices are. Also, if you're addicted to the high you get off Aspirin, this is the place to talk about it.

Ben Affleck
I actually caught part of that on TV and it seemed not bad, I might have to rent it.

I'm thinking of renting City of Lost Children because smiley has a giant boner for it, but I don't know if I have the energy for subtitles.

Definately worth watching. Even if you don't want to read the subtitles (you lazy cunt), you'll still get a kick out of everyones facial expressions.

Badlands. Quite a roadmovie; right up there with Easy Rider and Vanishing Point. Martin Sheen does his best performance ever.

so I watched a boy and his dog (due to a recommendation here :chick:) and it was pretty good. I briefly thought about owning a dog like that before I realized grooming and picking up it's shite would be absolutely awful and so became content with just watching the film.

I got a little disoriented when he went underground, but the film evened out and I caught on pretty quickly. Thanks for the idea and I would recommend it if someone hasn't seen it yet.

Went to watch WALL·E with my woman today. I was surprised how good it was. It's basically a post-apocalypse animation that deals with sentient, rebellious A.I., the corruption of mankind and the end of the world as we know it. Fun stuff, the theatre was full of under-12-year-olds, who probably didn't get the movie at all. And my lady digged it, cause it's humorous and has some funky robot romance in it too. I approve :che:

High voltage, yes, but no pneumatics, unfortunately :( And yes, it's a very good "couples' movie". Plus we both like post-apocalyptic settings, watched some recent flicks together like I Am Legend or 28 Weeks Later.

Were you not annoyed by the constant repeating of the two main characters' names?- "Walle!" "Eve!" "Walle!" "Eve!"

That drove me nuts. Otherwise it was a pretty good post-apoc film. I definitely wasn't expecting that when my sis and I decided out of boredom to check it out.

Yeah, me too. I came on board as a refugee from the sinking ship called vault13.net (remember?). I even remember the good ol' days and how they came to an end with the GameSpy invasion (oh, the times). I even remember this guy who had his own Fallout fan site he updated it in Czech and English and had this funky web comic on his site which the forum comunity regularly followed... I think there were some popular polls of some sort and we could affect what would happen next in the comic. 'Twas fun.
