I bought it and I like it, my only gripe is that for some reason my video card is having trouble working with the XRay Engine (the STALKER engine) and I don't know why. I used to be able to run the game on max graphics but I can't even run the game on dynamic lighting any more.
I've fully updated my drivers and DirectX, any other real suggestions?

I bought the game from Steam...
And ofcourse Valve had the game more than 12 hours delayed according to their stupid ass timer so I went up early for nothing.
So I also removed the loud fan on my 8800 GTS and replaced it with a cooler wich now means it is soundless and awesome.
Stalker runs on max settings fine and I started playing it. The atmosphere so far does not feel like the one in the original, could be because I havent progressed that far but I dont find that alone and eerie feeling like I did with the old one.
Handling in the game isnt that great.. even though the fps is fine the game feels somewhat laggy and buggy.. dont know what to make of it yet.
Anyway, the first 3 hours of gaming were cool , havent met any muggers I couldnt kill yet.
Also cool are the upgrades.. my mp5 hits everything now with its increased accuracy and magazine
