One of the few short lived series I actually bought. It's entertaining, too bad about the end it had some interesting build up happening.rabidpeanut wrote:I watched space: above and beyond the other day.
Pretty good series.

I always thought the speech about the pandas that wouldn't fuck to save their own species and how one of the characters watched the last one in the zoo eating happily, never knowing he was the last and that with his death, all pandas were gone and then wondering if humanity was to share the same fate was one of the best lines I'd ever heard on any TV show and stuck with me.It's entertaining

There were ALOT of really fucking memorable episodes in my mind, like when the Captain duels the "red baron" in ship combat because he realizes he's the only one who stands a chance.AnneGwish wrote:Fuck. Now I gotta watch the damn thing again now that I'm thinking about it. I've forgotten half the shit in it.
Honestly, I think two of the most memorable scenes in anything ever made came from this show and include the one pilot whose ship begins to drift into a black hole while "I walk the line" plays or the episode where the one APC driver treats his machine, named "Pearl", like it was a person to the point that he reassures it that it's as good as a tank and the part where at the end he's dying infront of it in the rain and the camera is angled over the headlights to make it look like Pearl is crying for him. Fuck. Now I have to dig up my DVDs.
Oh, and to beat this thread back on track with a crowbar, I kinda like TSCC. It's not in my "OMFG MUST TO WATCH NAO" sort of list that's reserved for House, and lately Heroes (since I got the chance to start watching from the beginning).
Oh, and for whatever the fuck it's worth, if you don't wanna waste harddrive space or hit up jootub(e), you can go to hulu.com instead. Still has fucking commercials, but they're at most 45 seconds long (rarely) and usually about 15 seconds. Better than watching network TV.

Yeah, that line specifically was.
"I felt like putting a bullet between the eyes of every Panda that wouldn't screw to save its species. I wanted to open the dump valves on oil tankers and smother all the French beaches I'd never see. I wanted to breathe smoke."
