Goldeneye was pretty good. But the subsequent movies were nothing but explosions, gadgets, and eye candy. The plots were horrendous at best, and there was little to no character development.

The lack of character development is something I took issue with in my Quantum of Solace thread a few days ago. We're introduced (again) to the super secret Quantum organization, we get to know it's supposed "leader" a bit (although it's looking like he might have just been in charge of this one operation), and then we're left hanging. The movie doesn't go into it any further. Lots of plotlines and characters were introduced in QoS, but they didn't go anywhere at all.
Yeah. I guess only a few more scenes, maybe 15-20 minutes more, could have been enough to flesh out a bit the other characters of the Quantum organization, and establish links and continuity to the coming movies(which will certainly still feature the same bad guys, since Mr. White is still free, as well as the other guys from the opera scenes).

I really hope against hope that they just ditch the whole Quantum thing, and start fresh. I really couldn't give a shit whether or not Bond ever finds/kills Mr. White or whoever.

Goldeneye was great. Brosnan was great. He just had retards for writers. Personally he's my favorite Bond, he just got a lot of really, really, REALLY bad movies to star in. Craig is a fucking useless piece of shit. Basically 007 movies have become a slightly British take on Rambo, were he to wear a suit.

He still doesn't say "Bond, James Bond," nor demand his "shaken not stirred" martini. It was good to see a return of the Walther PPK, at least, albeit only in brief glimpses. All in all it's become an over the top action series with Craig. Not a fan.
off topic? OMG YOU'VE BEEN CENSORED... yet you're still posting. MYSTARY!!!!

I have always seen Bond to be more of a literary character, with all his overly cliched one-liners, hot sidekicks and generic nemeses. Deviating from Ian Fleming's Bond has largely killed off the series for me, nowadays it's just Hollywood Shooter #628, next installment will most probably feature Angelina Jolie.
